This training’s aim is to instruct terrorism officers from the Kosovo police in how to deal with violent extremism and radicalism in order to prevent terrorist activities.
The training will be delivered by the OSCE Mission and Kosovo police experts and local professors of theology. It will cover variety of topics including: history of religious groups in Kosovo; radicalization and de-radicalization processes; characteristics of terrorists; structure of extremist groups in Kosovo as well as Kosovo strategy and action plan against terrorism.
The OSCE Mission has established the Kosovo police service school in 1999. It now supports advanced and specialised training of the police and develops community safety platforms.
