Ulrike Schmidt, Project Officer from the Office of the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, will participate in an international symposium focusing on good practice, gaps and challenges in the implementation of the women, peace and security agenda - emerging trends and priorities in 21st century security.
Schmidt will be one of the contributors in a discussion which bears the titles "Information Gathering and Priorities for Action – the Role of the Media". The discussion will focus on how to combine traditional information channels and reporting mechanisms with new media to raise awareness for women’s important role in conflict resolution, peace-keeping, defence and foreign affairs mechanisms and illustrate priorities for action.
