Ministers of Economy from Central Asia, heads of investment promotion agencies and high-level representatives from OECD economies are invited to discuss challenges to investment, competitiveness and small- and medium-sized enterprise (SME) development.
The event will be co-chaired by France and the European Union.
The OECD-OSCE Central Asia Initiative on Competitiveness and Investment was launched in November 2008 in Berlin, Germany, as part of the OECD Eurasia Competitiveness Programme. OECD and OSCE experts work closely with governments, the private sector and civil society to design and implement tools and instruments aimed at creating an improved business climate and contributing to higher growth and employment in the economies of Central Asia.
Participation in the Initiative is open to all countries of the Central Asian region.
