This training for village council heads and police officers is part of a project, organized by the OSCE Office in Bishkek, to improve institutional capacity in addressing religious issues and tolerance among local communities.
The topics covered by the training include international standards in freedom of religion with particular focus on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, implementation of the new law on freedom of religion and religious organizations, resolution of religious conflicts and increasing religious tolerance within local communities.
The target beneficiaries of the event are heads of village councils as well as officers of community police units in Naryn province. The training will be implemented nationwide by the State Agency on Religious Affairs.
