“Radiation Safety” in focus of the OSCE-supported trainings in Naryn oblast

The OSCE Centre in Bishkek, the Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities and Aarhus Centre in Osh will conduct trainings on “Radiation Safety” for local population of Min-Kush village of Naryn Oblast on 17-19 November 2016.
The main purpose of the training is to teach local residents basic principles of radiation safety and the effects of radiation on the human health.
As a result of the trainings, local residents will increase their knowledge on radiation safety and the impact of uranium legacy sites on the human health and the environment. In addition, they will be introduced with methods and principles of radiation safety.
The trainings are conducted in the framework of the project “Stakeholder Engagement for Uranium Tailings Remediation in Central Asia” financed by the European Union and jointly implemented by the OSCE, UNDP and UNEP.
