The OSCE Centre in Bishkek in co-operation with the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic will organize three-day training on Istanbul Protocol – UN standard on documentation of torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment and punishment.
Some 25 staff members of medical services of the General Staff of the Armed Forces (GSAF), Ministry of Defence, National Guard and State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic will participate in the training.
The training aimed at capacity building of the medical staff of the armed forces international and national standards on effective documentation of violence, torture and cruel treatment in order to reduce violence in the Kyrgyz army. The training participants will be informed on the new procedures introduced by the Kyrgyz Ministry of Health reporting on torture and violence.
