OSCE supports simulation exercise for Kyrgyz government press services on information management during crisis situations

The OSCE Centre in Bishkek and the Information Department of Prime Minister’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic will organize simulation exercise for the governmental press services to build their capacity in managing state information flow during crisis situations. The training will be held in Bishkek.
The OSCE-supported experts of the National Platform on Disaster Risk Reduction and an international media expert will train some 30 press officers from law enforcement agencies, representatives of local government, mass media and Information Department of Prime Minister’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The exercise is organized in support of an “Instruction On the Order and Coordination Mechanism Between the State Law Enforcement Agencies, their Press Services and Mass Media during Crisis Situations” jointly developed by OSCE-funded experts and Information Department of Prime Minister’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic as part of the government press service reform to improve emergency communications.
