Kazakhstan’s parliament officials visit Norway

Parliamentarians and high-ranked officials from Kazakhstan will visit Norway to learn about good practices in the field of efficient and democratic law-making processes with a special emphasis on gender legislation and policies. The purpose of this visit, besides promoting the bilateral relations of Kazakhstan and Norway, is to embrace a detailed study of the Norwegian experience in strengthening the parliamentary system and involving different factions in a law-making process, most notably in developing a legal basis for gender policy.
Participants will also be able to learn about legislative regulations of gender equality and family policy, such as political promotion of women, election campaigns and gender equality in private enterprises, as well as practical implementation of these regulations at different levels.
