This is the seventh forum on development of the Internet in Central Asia.
During the forum, participants will discuss problems and development trends in the Internet space of Central Asia, as well as share their opinions about latest challenges on the Internet, including xenophobia, hateful propaganda, and the language of intolerance, information wars, manipulation of facts and ways to counter such harmful content. Experts from Europe, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan will present and discuss challenges and opportunities of the Internet in the region and share their ideas, cases and tools. Independent experts, representatives of governmental bodies and non-governmental organizations, journalists, lawyers, Internet activists are welcome to participate in the Forum.
The event is in line with the OSCE Programme Office’s activities aimed at promoting media freedom and freedom of expression in the host country.
