The purpose of this event is to create a basis for improving the partnership between customs authorities and the business community, ensuring the security of the international supply chain through the effective implementation of the AEO system at the national and regional levels, removing trade barriers, explaining the business benefits of the system, and exchanging the latest trends and new technologies used to secure trade. The event is tailored to meet the current needs of the Government and the Customs Administration’s request to conduct capacity-building workshops for officials from the Customs Committee and private-sector representatives of Kazakhstan.
The event is part of the customs reform and modernization programme that is being carried out in compliance with the standards of the World Customs Organization’s Diagnostic Framework, the SAFE Framework, and the national strategic priorities of Kazakhstan, and it is being implemented in accordance with the OSCE commitment to encourage the development of transport networks in the OSCE region that are efficient and integrated, free of avoidable safety and security risks.
