OSCE Office in Yerevan

The Office covers all aspects of OSCE activities in the politico-military, the economic and environmental and the human dimensions:

• Legislative reform, such as elections, freedom of assembly, media, alternative service, anti-trafficking and so on
• Training of the National Assembly staff
• Combating corruption
• Freedom of the media
• Police assistance programme
• Recycling rocket fuel component (Melange) cross-dimensional project
• Promotion of environmental conventions (Aarhus convention)
• Economic development of Syunik marz
• Assisting the Ombudsperson's institution
• Human rights and gender awareness and education
• Anti-trafficking
• Labour migration
• Anti-terrorism and money-laundering

The Office does not deal with the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

Head of Office

The Head of the Office is Ambassador Sergey Kapinos of the Russian Federation, who took up his post on 1 October 2007.

The staff of the Office presently consists of 7 international and 18 locally employed staff members.
