The OSCE starts the new decade with Kazakhstan at its helm, the first Central Asian state to chair the Organization.
In July 2010, foreign ministers meet informally in Almaty to discuss progress under the Corfu Process, and decide to hold the Organization's first Summit for 11 years. Heads of State and Government meet on 1-2 December 2010 in Astana and agree on the Astana Commemorative Declaration.
