The OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan, in co-operation with national and international partners, carries out project activities that are agreed upon with the host government. The majority of these projects are implemented jointly with state institutions, civil society organizations, business associations, and educational institutions, and they are co-ordinated with state authorities, other international organizations that are accredited in Uzbekistan, and the OSCE Secretariat in Vienna. When relevant, the Project Co-ordinator carries out project work in a regional context, which means the involvement of Central Asian countries in joint activities.

The office’s activities include assistance in strengthening legislation; conducting training courses; organizing seminars, conferences, and study visits; and providing advice on improving the performance of state authorities, government agencies, and civil society organizations.

The Project Co-ordinator's office comprises 23 staff, and it has an annual budget of about 2 million euros.

Further information on mandates, staffing levels and budgets can be found in the annual Survey of OSCE Field Operations.
