On 19 October 2012 a group of fifteen Afghan border police officers completed a five-week Patrol Programming and Leadership Course run by the OSCE Office in Tajikistan.
The officers learned how to plan and conduct observation missions at the border through the use of topographical maps, satellite imagery and other tactical equipment. The trainees have also developed their patrol management, analytical, reporting and field first-aid skills.
