Knut Dreyer
Seconded to the OSCE by the Swedish Government, the Senior Police Adviser Knut Dreyer assumed his post in August 2010.
Dreyer graduated from the University of Lund in 1977 obtaining a Master in Law and a Master in Philosophy. He is also a graduate of the Swedish National Police and National Defence Colleges.
Dreyer, a highly experienced officer, has been serving in the Swedish National Police since 1980 and throughout his career has held various leading positions within the organization, the last being Police Commissioner in the Skåne County.
He is employed by the Swedish National Police Board, the central administrative and supervisory authority of the country's police service, and has extensive international experience, having worked in various missions for the European Union Commission and the United Nations.
Dreyer was the OSCE's police reform adviser in Kyrgyzstan from 2007 to 2008 and also worked with the Organisation's Missions in Croatia and Tajikistan.
