OSCE Mission to Skopje supports training for police on anti-terrorism

The OSCE Mission to Skopje, in co-operation with the Intelligence Academy of the Turkish National Police are organizing training for 18 police officers from the Administration for Security and Counterintelligence of the country’s Interior Ministry from 23-27 April 2012.

The training on the role of intelligence in counter-terrorism activities will analyse intelligence operations and give participants the opportunity to learn about the roots of terrorism, profiles of terrorist groups and develop an applicable terrorism strategy for intelligence services.

The training course is part of the OSCE Mission’s 2012 activities dedicated to strengthening the Interior Ministry’s structure and capacity to deal with transnational threats, with special attention to the fight against organized crime and terrorism. A number of specialized courses will focus on the role of intelligence in the fight against terrorism.
