The OSCE Mission to Skopje and the French Embassy in Skopje organized a course on conducting drug searches for eight police officers from a local K9 Unit, as well as their dogs, on 27-31 May 2013. The unit is part of the Interior Ministry’s Department for Special Units.

Conducted in Skopje by a French dog-handling expert, this was the third in a series of advanced training courses for local police officers that are being held throughout 2013. The aim of the course was to improve the K9 Unit’s effectiveness in the fight against organized crime and terrorism.
