OSCE Mission to Serbia helps improve transparency of Security-Information Agency

BELGRADE, 27 March 2012 – Serbia’s Security-Information Agency (BIA) launched a new website today, developed with support from the OSCE Mission to Serbia.

The new website will help the BIA improve its transparency and provision of information to the public.

“Taking into account the importance of information and communication technologies as a tool for transparency and information sharing, the new website will help the Security-Information Agency to enhance communication with citizens,” said Jan Lueneburg, the Head of the Democratization Department of the OSCE Mission to Serbia.

“With the support of the OSCE Mission, we have redesigned the website to inform visitors about the history, organisation, competences and operational framework of the BIA, as well as on current issues and developments,” said Sasa Vukadinovic, the Director of the Security-Information Agency.

The website is part of an OSCE project funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency.

The website is available at www.bia.gov.rs
