BELGRADE, 29 January 2010 - Twelve senior representatives from the Serbian Interior Ministry completed today a five-day OSCE-supported training course on the Logical Framework Approach (LFA) - a management tool used to design, monitor and evaluate projects.

During the course hosted by the OSCE Mission to Serbia, police officers learned about using the LFA to plan their projects. The course participants will be able to apply the knowledge in a practical workshop, during which they will work on identifying specialized police training needs.

"The OSCE Mission helps Serbian police build its capacity to design projects in a participatory manner as part of its support for police training and overall reform. These project management tools will help the Interior Ministry to assume ownership of reforming the specialized police training system, which is crucial for the feasibility and sustainability of the process," said Stig Maansson, the OSCE Mission to Serbia Police Education Programme Manager.
