The manual represents an auxiliary tool for teachers of Serbian as a non-mother tongue in the achievement of learning outcomes in the first cycle of education. It contains 600 recommended words and grammatical and semantic elements that students from first till fourth grade of elementary school need to acquire, in line with the learning outcomes and thematic units that are part of the newly adopted curriculum for Serbian as a non-mother tongue. The purpose of the manual is to enable smoother adoption of the most frequently used terminology in Serbian. The manual also includes ten illustrations which will be of practical assistance to teachers in organising the Serbian language classes. The publication is available in Serbian language only.

Manual on writing criminal law judgments

The Manual is intended for criminal law judges in Serbia to guide them in writing criminal law judgments. It is the result of a series of working group meetings organized by the OSCE Mission to Serbia and the US Department of Justice with support of the Supreme Court of Cassation of Serbia, in the period of two years. The authors of the Manual are prominent criminal law judges of the Supreme Court of Cassation and the Appellate Court in Belgrade. The Manual is available only in Serbian language.

The Handbook clarifies the purpose of standards, learning results at the end of a particular educational cycle, and the rationale of classification of standards by teaching fields. Teachers are referred to the reading of standards intertwined by knowledge, skills in the area of Language, Literature and Language Culture, as well as by the levels of educational attainment. The highest number of the standards is illustrated with textual tasks, assignments, and questions which enable application of students’ knowledge and demonstration of their cognitive abilities. Having analysed the media coverage of the floods that affected Serbia in 2014, the booklet sought to shed light on new aspects of media reporting and to draw attention to the topics that should be the focus of media attention. At the same time, through examples seen in other countries that have been dealing with the issue of gender-sensitive reporting for several years, the publication offers recommendations and advice that could be useful in the reporting of future natural disasters and emergency situations. To that end, problems faced by journalists and the media when reporting of an emergency situation, is highlighted. Through concrete examples of good practice, this booklet offers suggestions for the improvement of communication between relevant authorities and the media, which may result in a higher quality of information disseminated to citizens.
Substandard Roma Settlements in Serbia: An Overview from Geographic Information System for 2016

Within the European Support for Roma Inclusion project, the OSCE Mission to Serbia provides technical assistance to the Government of Serbia in implementation of the Strategy for Roma Inclusion. The assistance includes the creation of geographic information system (GIS) for monitoring the situation in substandard Roma settlements in Serbia. The GIS enables the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Serbia to follow the key data on living conditions in substandard settlements, with the aim of developing adequate national and local-level strategic decisions for their improvement. This publication provides the overview of GIS data for 2016 and makes them available to all the actors involved in projects of improvement of living conditions of Roma population. The publication is available in Serbian language only.
Creation of Technical Documentation for Improvements of Roma Settlements

Within the European Support for Roma Inclusion project, 20 sets of technical documents for improvement of living conditions in substandard Roma settlements were developed in 14 municipalities. Technical documents include designs for the construction or re-construction of basic infrastructure (water and sanitation, street networks, electrical grids, etc.), flood and underground water protection designs, as well as improvement of housing and working conditions of Roma population that lives in informal settlements.
Circular economy – a development opportunity for Serbia
