The guidance aims to support procurement and anti-trafficking staff in the OSCE with the background knowledge to implement anti-trafficking measures in procurement activities alongside training workshops, procurement risk analyses, and local action plans. Gender-based violence (GBV) is one of the most serious and pervasive human rights violations that not only affects the safety and security of victims, but also limits their freedoms and prevents their full individual and societal development. All forms of GBV bring long-term suffering to the survivors and their families, including physical and psychological trauma. The project aims at strengthening the capacities of criminal justice practitioners to prevent and respond to gender- based violence, ultimately leading to increased public trust in their responses.

In addition, by including numerous references to the judgments and decisions of international human rights courts, Roma and Sinti activists can familiarize themselves with these decisions and draw them to the attention of the non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and human rights lawyers with whom they cooperate. These can then be incorporated into their legal advocacy and litigation, rendering them more effective.
