The OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek and the OSCE Transnational Threats Department piloted a new training-of-trainers course on requesting electronic evidence across borders on 5 to 8 September in Kyrgyzstan. The course, developed jointly by the UNODC, Interpol, and the OSCE with the financial support from the European Union, is based on the United Nations Practical Guide on Requesting Electronic Evidence Across Borders.

OSCE-supported Specialized Training Customs Office in Kyrgyzstan acquires new international status

The World Customs Organization (WCO) and the State Customs Service (SCS) of Kyrgyzstan signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 3 November 2021 in Bishkek. WCO Secretary General Kunio Mikuriya and SCS Chairperson Adilet Kubanychbekov signed the document that grants the status of WCO regional training center to SCS training and specialized canine unit.
Time release study: OSCE supports optimization of cross-border trade in Kyrgyzstan

Over forty representatives of the State Customs Service under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Kyrgyzstan and cross-border trade researchers were trained in how to accurately measure the duration of time for clearing goods at border checkpoints. The two-day workshop, organized by the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek, concluded on 13 October 2021 in Bishkek.
OSCE continues strengthening capacities of customs officers in Kyrgyzstan

On 16 September 2021, sixteen Kyrgyz customs officers completed a four-day training course on profiling at the Leninskoe Training Center of the State Customs Service under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic. The event was organized with the support of the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek.
OSCE-supported futsal tournament in Osh gathers teams of State Border Services of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Russia to strengthen regional border co-operation

The second futsal tournament "Border Co-operation through Unity in Sports" took place on 27 November in Osh, Kyrgyzstan. Teams from the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan, border servicemen of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan, the Operative Border Service Unit of the Russian Federation based in Osh and a team from the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek participated in the event. The tournament aimed at strengthening regional border co-operation.
