VIENNA, 5 September 2011 - The Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, will address OSCE participating States on Wednesday, 7 September.
Tokayev will address a joint session of the Forum for Security Co-operation and Permanent Council to discuss UN-OSCE co-operation. The Permanent Council is a key decision-making body of the 56-country OSCE. It meets weekly in Vienna to discuss developments in the OSCE area and to make appropriate decisions.
Journalists are invited to listen to the speech of Tokayev at 11.00 on 7 September, in the Neuer Saal of the Hofburg Congress Centre. Following his address, Tokayev will be available to answer questions from journalists upon leaving the Neuer Saal.
For admittance to the Hofburg Congress Centre, please bring a valid press card to the security desk (main entrance from the Heldenplatz). Please note that no parking will be available on Heldenplatz.
