OSCE Mission to Montenegro

PODGORICA, 19 December 2007 - An OSCE/ODIHR sponsored Handbook for Municipal Councillors will be presented in Podgorica tomorrow.

The publication was designed to help mayors, members of municipal assemblies, NGOs and experts dealing with local self-governance. It lists the duties and responsibilities of local councils under the legislative reform of local self-governance.

The Head of the OSCE Mission to Montenegro, Ambassador Paraschiva Badescu, the Deputy Minister of Interior and Public Administration, Djordjije Vukcevic, and Dean of the Faculty for State and European Studies, Djordije Blazic, and the Editor of the Handbook, Radomir Zekovic, will speak at the opening.

Journalists are invited to attend the presentation at 13.00 on 20 December, in the Conference room of "Best Western Premier - Hotel Montenegro", Svetog Petra Cetinjskog 145, Podgorica.
