PODGORICA, 30 May 2012 – Applying the OSCE concept of integrated border management strategies in Montenegro in the period 2013-2016 is the topic of a roundtable discussion in Podgorica tomorrow.
The two-day event, organized by the OSCE Mission and the Ministry of Interior, will present lessons learned from implementing integrated border management strategies in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro. Participants will draft guidelines for Montenegro’s border strategies for 2013-2016. A delegation from Croatia will share Croatia’s practices and experiences in achieving full compliance with the EU Schengen border security standards.
The Deputy Head of the OSCE Mission to Montenegro, Waldemar Figaj, and the Head of the Ministry of Interior Department for Integrated Border and Border Crossing Management, Milan Paunovic will speak at the roundtable.
