OSCE Mission to Montenegro co-hosts roundtable discussion on effects of radiation on health and environment

PODGORICA, 17 May 2012 – Radiation and its effects on human health and the environment is the topic of a discussion organized by the OSCE Mission to Montenegro and the Environmental Movement 'Ozone' as part of the OSCE-supported School of Ecological Activism on 18 May 2012.

The Deputy Head of the OSCE Mission, Waldemar Figaj, the Deputy Minister for the Environment, Ivana Vojinović; Director of the Environmental Protection Agency, Daliborka Pejovic, and the Director of the Environmental Movement ‘Ozone’, Aleksandar Perovic, will open the event. Representatives of the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism will also take part in the discussion, which will specifically focus on the impact of radon, and the effects of electromagnetic radiation on human health and environment.

 Journalists are invited to attend the event, which is scheduled to start at 10.00 on Friday, 18 May 2012, at the “City Hotel”, Crnogorskih serdara 5, in Podgorica.
