OSCE Mission to present Handbook on Public Procurement in Montenegro

PODGORICA, 14 December 2009 - A handbook on public procurement in Montenegro, produced with support from the OSCE Mission to Montenegro, will be presented in Podgorica tomorrow.

The book was published as part of an anti-corruption project, implemented by the OSCE Mission in co-operation with the Public Procurement Directorate and the Directorate for Anti-Corruption Initiative. The project involved a series of training courses for public procurement officers who contributed to the development of the handbook.

The Handbook provides a comprehensive guide to Montenegro's public procurement system with a focus on legislative standards and good practice.

Mersad Mujevic, the Director of the Public Procurement Directorate, and Ambassador Paraschiva Badescu, the Head of the OSCE Mission to Montenegro, will present the book at tomorrow's event.

Journalists are invited to cover the presentation, set to start at 10:00 on Tuesday, 15 December 2009, in the Hotel City, Crnogorskih serdara bb, in Podgorica.
