OSCE Mission to Montenegro, partners, launch campaign to inform about right to know

PODGORICA, 25 September 2009 - An OSCE-supported public awareness campaign that aims to inform people about their rights under the Law on Free Access to Information will be launched at a news conference in Podgorica on Monday, September 28.

The news conference, organized by the OSCE Mission to Montenegro in co-operation with the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Media and the Human Resource Management Authority, is held on the occasion of the International Right to Know Day.

The campaign comprises promotional leaflets that inform about rights under the law, which allows the public access to ask for, receive, use and disseminate information filed with government agencies..

The Head of the OSCE Mission to Montenegro, Ambassador Paraschiva Badescu; the Director of the Human Resource Management Authority, Svetlana Vukovic, and the Assistant Minister of Culture, Sport and Media, Zeljko Rutovic, will speak at the news conference.

Journalists are invited to the news conference at 10.00 on Monday, 28 September, in the premises of the Human Resource Management Authority, Jovana Tomasevica 2a, Podgorica.
