Eco-crime detection and prevention to be discussed at OSCE-supported event in Montenegro

PODGORICA, 21 June 2013 – Detection and prevention of eco-crime cases is the topic of a roundtable meeting co-organized by the OSCE Mission to Montenegro and the non-governmental organization ”Environmental Movement Ozone" as part of the annual School of Ecological Activism.

Participants will look at examples of eco-crime cases and discuss challenges faced by environmental inspections in their work.

The event will be opened by the Acting Head of the OSCE Mission Waldemar Figaj; State Secretary in the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism, Daliborka Pejović; General Director for the Environment at the Ministry  Ivana Vojinović; and Director of the Inspection Directorate, Božidar Vuksanović.  

Journalists are invited to attend the event, which is scheduled to start at 10.00 on Monday, 24 June 2013, at the Hotel ‘’Ramada” in Podgorica.
