Moldovan Prime Minister Vladimir Filat and Transdniestrian leader Yevgeny Shevchuk met on 20 June 2012 on the margins of an OSCE conference on confidence-building measures held by the OSCE Mission to Moldova, with the support of the German Government, in the German town of Rottach-Egern.
On 28 March 2012 the OSCE Mission to Moldova hosted a meeting of the Moldovan and Transdniestrian chief political negotiators in the Transdniestrian settlement talks, Eugen Carpov and Nina Shtanski. Another round of official negotiations on the Transdniestrian settlement was held in Dublin on 28-29 February 2012. The two-day meeting brought together representatives of the sides, mediators and observers in the negotiations – Moldova, Transdniestria, the OSCE, the Russian Federation, Ukraine, the US and the EU.
