OSCE-supported rock festival helps build cultural bridge over Nistru river

Rock bands from both banks of Moldova's Nistru river gathered on 11 August for the second annual open-air music festival sponsored by the OSCE Mission to Moldova, helping to build cultural ties between Moldova and its breakaway Transnistrian region.

The OSCE is playing the role of mediator in a simmering dispute between the authorities of Moldova and Transdniestria that has prevented Moldovan farmers from harvesting their crops.
