CHISINAU, 9 July 2013 – Developing a climate-change adaptation strategy for the Dniester/Nistru basin and a joint response action plan for governments of the Moldova and Ukraine are the focus of a new joint three-year project of the OSCE and the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) to be officially launched tomorrow in Chisinau.
The activities to be carried out under the new project will be presented along with a review of the results achieved under a previous OSCE-UNECE project.
The launch is organized by the OSCE and UNECE in co-operation with relevant environmental and water authorities of Moldova and Ukraine.
Media representatives are invited to attend the opening ceremony at 9.00 on 10 July 2013 at the business centre “Le Roi” at 29 Sfatul Tarii St. (Chisinau) followed by a press conference.
