Presentation of report on property in Azerbaijan

- The preparation of this new monitoring report, entitled 'Real Property in the Republic of Azerbaijan', was supported by the OSCE Office in Baku.
The report, which is the result of a six-month monitoring period by local legal experts of the observance of real property rights in Azerbaijan, identifies shortcomings in the legislation and practice governing real property, including registration, transfer and other safeguards guaranteeing the tenancy of property rights.
It includes analyses of relevant legislation, interviews with victims of possible violations, observations of court proceedings and monitoring of relevant state bodies' day-to-day practices with regard to the registration, purchase or sale of real property. The report is available both in Azerbaijani and English.
