OSCE High Commissioner continues dialogue with Romania on national minorities in neighbouring states

The OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities Knut Vollebaek visited Romania on 23 and 24 April 2012 to discuss Romania’s relations with neighbouring countries.

Vollebaek discussed Romania’s concerns regarding the protection and promotion of the rights of national minorities in neighbouring states with President Traian Băsescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs Christian Diaconescu and State Secretary for European Affairs Bogdan Aurescu.

He also met Patriarchal Vicar Bishop Ciprian Câmpineanul of the Romanian Orthodox Church, to exchange views on the provision of church services in Romanian in other countries.
