When: 29 February 2008
Where: Vienna, Hofburg, Neuer Saal (2nd floor)
Organized by: The OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media
The Office of the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media was established by Permanent Council Decision No. 193 in December 1997.
The event will feature renowned speakers on media freedom issues. It is designed to look at future challenges to freedom of the media and freedom of expression in the entire OSCE area, rather than just reviewing past developments.
The one-day event will be divided into three parts: opening remarks followed by two topical panel sessions. It will also feature a unique sideshow presentation by Plantu, the French daily newspaper Le Monde's editorial cartoonist.
