OSCE Mission to Skopje supports co-ordination mechanism to help trafficking victims

The adoption of new OSCE-supported guidelines on the proper treatment of trafficked persons will help the Government in Skopje to tackle the problem of identifying and assisting trafficking victims.

New guidelines being prepared by the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) will help states build a solid legal foundation for dealing with hate crime.

Protecting the rights of minorities has been a priority for the OSCE Mission in Kosovo since it was set up in 1999. In March this year, however, it stepped up its focus on minority issues with a more robust hands-on approach.
