1st Preparatory Meeting of the 25th OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum
First Preparatory Meeting of the 25th OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum dedicated to “Greening the economy and building partnerships” will take place in Vienna on 23-24 January 2017.
The 25th Economic and Environmental Forum is organised by the 2017 Austrian OSCE Chairmanship in co-operation with the Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities (OCEEA).
The Economic and Environmental Forum is the main meeting-cycle within the Economic and Environmental Dimension of the OSCE. Its objectives are to identify needs and priorities, to raise awareness and to stimulate the political will of the 57 OSCE participating States in dealing with economic, environmental and security related challenges, to share best practices, as well as to provide a platform for dialogue with representatives of International Organizations, the business and academic communities, and civil society.
In 2017, the First Preparatory Meeting will be followed by a Second Preparatory Meeting on 14-16 June 2017. The Concluding Meeting is foreseen in Prague in September 2017.
