The Handbook aims at assisting states in their efforts to develop new policy approaches, solutions and practical measures for the better management of labour migration in countries of origin, transit and destination.

It has been prepared primarily for use by decision-makers and practitioners in the OSCE area and countries served by the IOM and the ILO. It analyses effective policies and practices and draws on examples from the OSCE participating States, the southern Mediterranean countries as well as other countries that have considerable experience in this field.

The Mediterranean Edition of the Handbook, which contains specific models, practical guidelines and good practice examples from the Mediterranean region, will be available in English and Arabic at the Launch Seminar.
