In 2006, the OSCE and the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) have developed a joint pilot project on promoting the UNECE International Convention on the Harmonization of Frontier Controls of Goods.
The two organizations jointly organized two seminars on improving the implementation of the aforementioned Convention. A first one was held in partnership with the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) in Moscow in October 2006. A second event was organized in Belgrade, with the support of the Serbian government, and brought together participants from South Eastern European countries.
