OSCE-Thailand conference on challenges to global security: from poverty to pandemic

Description:
The conference aims to explore future prospects for regional co-operation towards eradicating trafficking in human beings, drugs and small arms and light weapons, illegal migration and other new security threats.

Representatives from OSCE Institutions, participating States, Partners for Co-operation (Afghanistan, Japan, Mongolia, the Republic of Korea and Thailand) and Mediterranean Partners for Co-operation (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia) will meet in Bangkok to address the following topics:

  • The changing face of global security: reflections and perspectives 
  • Poverty to pandemic: Countering threats to regional security 
  • Challenges and opportunities for regional co-operation for global human security
