CHISINAU, 10 September 2012 – The OSCE Special Representative and Co-ordinator for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, Maria Grazia Giammarinaro, will open an anti-trafficking photo exhibition on 12 September by children in Moldovan residential schools.
The photos were produced by participants in an OSCE project to help prevent human trafficking among children without parental care in Moldova. Children from several residential schools, as well as recent graduates, were given professional photography training and sent to their home regions to create photographs which deal with the subject of trafficking in human beings.
The OSCE project is implemented by the Child Rights Information Centre Moldova (CRIC) in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family of Moldova, with the financial support of the Principalities of Monaco, Andorra, Liechtenstein, and the Republic of San Marino.
Journalists are invited to attend the opening of the event at 10.30 on 12 September 2012, at the National Library of Moldova, 78-A, 31 August 1989 Street, Chisinau.
