Programme and Project Management

Programming and Evaluation Support Unit

Established in 2003 within the CPC, the Programming and Evaluation Support Unit is the Organisation's primary focal point for all questions related to programme and project management.

In close co-operation with the Policy Support Service, the Programming and Evaluation Support Unit co-ordinates the assessment of field operations' and Secretariat's extra-budgetary projects, providing an effective channel for sharing views and technical expertise among the field operations, Institutions and Secretariat.

The Unit contributes, in close co-operation with technical focal points in the Secretariat, to the development of tools to provide the OSCE staff with the appropriate level of support on strategic, programming and project management matters.

The Unit's staff provides technical support to programme and project managers in field operations to plan, develop and evaluate their programmes and projects. To help standardize OSCE programme and project management and promote best practices, the Unit also trains and coaches project and programme managers from the field operations, Institutions and Secretariat.
