15th IPRM meeting takes place in Dvani
DVANI, 2 September 2011 - The 15th meeting under the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) took place in Dvani today. The meeting was co-facilitated by the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) and the OSCE.
Participants reviewed recent incidents, the latest position of those recently detained and those currently in prison. The safety of those wishing to attend religious festivals and events across the administrative boundary line (ABL) was raised. Participants agreed to co-operate to ensure the safety of local farmers during the autumn harvest period. There was a discussion about the meaning of various warning signs that have recently appeared close to the ABL. The situation concerning the water supply system in Dusheti region and gas supplies in Akhalgori region was raised.
The meeting took place in a cordial and workmanlike atmosphere.
It was agreed that the next meeting will take place on 20 October 2011.
