Training for Afghan customs officers on international trade and customs statistics

During the first week, the World Customs Organization experts will mentor seven instructors on how to deliver materials on customs and international trade statistics and develop train-the-trainer sessions to be used for future academic training.
The second week will be mainly focused on newly trained instructors who will further gained knowledge to the customs officers in the field.
The training course will be conducted as part of the OSCE project entitled “Capacity building of customs officers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Islamic Republic of Afghanistan”. One of the project’s objectives is to co-ordinate training activities of the Training Centre of the State Customs Service (SCS), harmonize those provided under other international programs and customs co-operation, and to create a single sustainable training program of SCS Training Centre.
