Workshop on revised standards for the Financial Action Task Force

The purpose of this workshop is to build the capacity of Kazakhstan's Committee on Financial Monitoring, as well as other relevant authorities, in implementing the revised standards for the Financial Action Task Force, to help the agencies involved in the fight against money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism better understand the need for a risk-based approach to their work, and to familiarize law-enforcement and prosecutorial authorities with new international requirements for investigating financial crimes.
Participants will include representatives of state bodies, international organizations, financial institutions and designated non-financial business professions.
