Ambassador Natalia Zarudna

Ambassador Natalia Zarudna was appointed the Head of the OSCE Centre in Astana in December 2011.

A Ukrainian career diplomat, she served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Germany in 2008-2011 and to Denmark in 2004-2008. From 2003 to 2004 she was Ambassador-at-Large, focusing on environmental issues, humanitarian and cultural co-operation.

In 2002-2003 as a Deputy State Secretary (Deputy Minister) for Foreign Affairs she was in charge, inter alia, of humanitarian, social and cultural affairs, national minorities and anti-Semitism issues, information and communications policy, and represented Ukraine in different international conferences and forums under the auspices of the UN, UNESCO, OSCE, Council of Europe, NATO and EU.

She is fluent in English, Spanish and Russian and has a working knowledge of French and German.
