The OSCE Programme Office will support a conference on international experience in combating corruption practices in government revenue agencies with a specific focus on intersectoral co-operation and familiarizing with the best international practices. This event will bring together some 100 experts from the state, non-governmental and international organizations as well as representatives of foreign countries. The discussions will primarily concentrate on comparing existing anti-corruption practices in Kazakhstan with international experiences and developing measures to improve further the national programme to combat corruption. The participants will also review the experience of countries such as Georgia, Iceland, Latvia, Switzerland and the USA as well as develop practical recommendations for further enhancing the work of the customs administration within the country. The event is a follow up of the Office’s longstanding efforts aimed at promoting good governance and combatting corruption in Kazakhstan.
