The eight-day event will bring together some 40 young environmental leaders from state, business and non-governmental organizations of Central Asia and Afghanistan. The seminar will be held as part of the Central Asian Leadership Programme (CALP) that aims at improving capacity of environmental leaders and streamlining their activities against the global challenges and national needs and gaps.
This year the CALP training programme is focused on multi-disciplinary assessment of the sustainable development progress and is based on interactive sessions with three thematic targets: people, environment and sustainable development.
The CALP activities are traditionally supported by the Centre to help strengthening the movement of young environmental leaders in the Central Asia region and beyond for its increased professional capacity and consolidation efforts. It is organized in support to the 2014 Chairmanship priorities that target to promote the role of youth in the resolution of security issues through participatory approach.
