OSCE Presence in AlbaniaOSCE Presence in Albania

Parliamentary support

The Presence has been carrying out a long-term project to help further modernize the Albanian Assembly since June 2007. Following a previous project that ran from 2001 until 2006, it focuses on supporting members of Parliament and parliamentary committees, training staff and carrying out outreach activities for constituents.

The main goal is to support the Assembly in becoming more transparent and to strengthen administrative efficiency and oversight responsibilities.

In 2007, specific assistance is foreseen for parliamentary committees to further strengthen the Assembly's research capacity and improve its information technology facilities.
